My first essay

So, I’ve decided, because I love to debate and discuss hot topics, I would write informal essays of my opinions on certain topics that you can all discuss, and we can debate. They will be on “hot button issues” and things that are salient in todays society, but they won’t be things that are publishable or whatever. I’m just a lowly college student, but we tend to have great debates here, and after a debate, I can’t stop talking about the topics. So I figure this is a great way to “let the aggressions out.” (I love to argue )

Any way, my first one is titled Teaching… a skill?. I’ve just started it, and I have tons of points to get to, and it’s taking me forever because, if you haven’t noticed already, I can be long winded. Never the less, it is specifically (right now) about the Detroit Teachers Union, and their recent strike, however, I do plan on getting to a more general view, using Detroit as an example, soon. You can check it out. All of my writings will be stored in the folder entitled My Thoughts.

Plugins

Well, I have quite a few plugins in this site, I’m not using all of them I don’t think, but they are all pretty useful. I just found this Contact form plugin, that is like amazing, unfortunately, you can’t edit it, or at least I haven’t read through the coding yet so I’m assuming that you can’t. Takeout Beware

Alright, how many of you have gotten takeout, found that it smelled “soo goooood,” tasted it and promptly wanted to throw up. Such is the way my life goes.

According to my mother, I’ve been really bad about eating lately (it’s true, I skip meals quite often, sometimes I completely forget to eat all day and by midnight, it’s too late for me to bother, even though I could get something) so I decided, let’s get some take out.

So we order chinese, and it comes, and it smells really good, and then it is the most bland yet disgusting thing. This is why I’ve been considering switching to vegetarianism (is that a word?) because I can’t stand the way that things are made. … continue reading: Takeout Beware
