My big mouth

Ok, today in lecture, we had 2 speakers giving a talk about what they do. They were old, and they were boring. I was tired, and really not interested.

The whole lecture was supposed to be about 1hr and 15mins. Well, it was just really boring. When the female speaker asked my professor how much time they had left, she told them 30mins. I hadn’t realized, and said dammit (or however you spell it). Now it wasn’t loud mind you, but everyone around me looked and me and started to laugh. :lol:

This isn’t a big lecture hall, it’s the size of a large classroom, and I was sitting in the back…. Oy, talk about embarrassing, I was trying so hard to laugh. They were old though, so I hope they didn’t hear me, but I felt like the guy was looking at me.

Random thoughts

Here are some random thoughts waaaay too early in the morning for me (so if this entry reads a little… uh weird, that’s why).

I noticed some people are using 1and1.com for hosting, and I’m just thinking, why? I They were the company that I was going to before I chose dreamhost. But, they aren’t accommodating to people who are moving their sites. I had about 6 databases that I had to move, in addition to a bunch of other stuff, and they couldn’t tell me how to do it. I’ve moved databases before, obviously since I’ve just switched hosts, but they don’t go for the traditional.

You call tech support, and they have NO idea what they are talking about. I’m sitting with someone who doesn’t speak much English, (I have nothing against people from India I promise, one of my more recent crushes is from India lol because he’s uber smart) but she did not know what she was talking about.

I wasted too much time with them, half a day, and I got out before I became murderous. If anyone uses 1and1, and think I don’t know what I’m talking about, please let me know the error of my ways. … continue reading: Random thoughts
