My First Day Part 2
Well, you may be disappointed with me, but I didn’t go in on Thursday. Lol. It was a hectic morning, and I couldn’t make it. Sad, I know. I thought I would get in big trouble, but alas, my boss was understanding. Darn, I was kind of hoping to get fired to tell you the truth.
Anyway, some unexpected family stuff came up, and really made it impossible for me to leave. However, a few hours later, I was able to do a little shopping (I’m not obsessed I swear) to take my mind off things. I got some nice stuff, and I hope to get more soon. I saw this purse, it’s absolutely gorgeous, but it’s like $200. I’m going to go back and get it though, it’s very worth it. It looks quite professional–and also quite hot for unprofessional stuff lol.
So anyway, yesterday, I did go into work. I was going to drive in, but I decided to just suck it up, and take the subway, who wants to walk the streets of NY when it’s not necessary? And luckily, I turned out to be a pro…. Well, sort of. I didn’t have as much trouble as I thought I would. It’s probably because I wasn’t freaking out.
I had expected to have my heart pounding, my palms sweating, my head spinning, but for some reason, I was calm, cool, and–yes, to finish the cliche–collected. I’m actually quite proud of myself.
I almost could not find the building, but luckily, I did, and on time. What’s better, I got there about 20 minutes before my boss showed up–he was late. :rolleyes: lol
