Presidential News Conference
President Bush is an IDIOT. Someone give me a t.v. show.
OMG. I’ve got an interview to intern for the Bronx Borough President.
Edit: I must have become an insomniac again. This happens whenever I am on vacation. For some reason, I just cannot go to sleep at night, and I just have to be up doing something stupid, like last night. Heh, I would say what I was doing, but kids do read my blog, and I don’t want to make a bad impression.
What’s worse is that I’ve had about 2.5 hours of sleep. Why am I up, I have no idea, but I decided to type something up. I’ve been in pain for a few days which is why I haven’t been around a lot lately. I got hurt after my arrival and the pain is just now subsiding. How did I get hurt? Well, let’s just say that I am clumsy. I mean really clumsy. Like walk into a glass door, fall up the stairs, look at a rock and still trip over it clumsy.
Why Bush is an idiot.
I don’t think that I need to explain it because, well, who has the time? That would take at least a few hours to type up, and I’m not interested in doing that.
However, for those of you who did not see the conference on Wednesday, I will enlighten you about one thing that just really made me yell at him.
Now, hearing that he wants to increase the number of troops is not a shock because he apparently has no idea what diplomacy is, just like he has no idea what a war really is.
But, it was his answer to the question of Iran and Syria that really set me off.
Simply put, some reporter asked him about the talks with Syria and Iran, and the U.S. relations with them. He started with Iran, and basically said the same goes for Syria. His answer was that the U.S. would not discuss anything with Iran until they give up their enlargement program–until they agree to stop their development program for nuclear weapons (and I think the state department is going to start reading my blog the moment they see the flag on those two words.
).
According to Bush, the Iranian leader was deceiving his people, making decisions that were a detriment to the people, refusing to listen to other leaders, acting unilaterally, etc. and so on.
Does this remind you of anyone (ahem the Iraq War)? My god, the whole time he was speaking I was screaming that he clearly did not see the irony. I mean, HELLO, what does Bush think that he has been doing the past 4 years–let’s discount before and right after 9/11 because prior to 9/11 he had no direction in his presidency, he was basically sitting in his oval office twiddling his thumbs, and after he did would with a coalition to bring down the Taliban.
However, when he did not receive much support for Iraq War, did he care about multi-lateralism? Was he honest with the American people and the rest of the world? Did he listen to other major leaders, like the President of France, and etc.? And did he make decisions that were for the interests of the American people?
No, he danced around in his office leaping with glee at the prospect at taking down Saddam Husein and avenging the actions against his father a decade ago.
He’s an ass, a liar, and an idiot. I cannot wait until 2008.
Sounds like a good slogan to me.
Internship
Edit 2: I got the internship!! Someone made a mistake though, giving me a government job. And let’s just say I am scared to death. I… am not looking forward to the stretch, but I am looking forward to the opportunity. I have been working hard to get something like this, and in no time, it came.
I saw the opportunity, and I’ve been working on my resume, so I was curious. I never really expected to get it, but as soon as I got the call back, I was sure, and then I was hired. Now, I’m scared lol. Let’s just hope I don’t say anything too radical because, if you hadn’t noticed, I have a hard time censoring myself today. I’m quite opinionated and I like to let everyone know how I feel.
My mother thinks it’s funny, especially when I told her I needed new clothes, “didn’t you already get new clothes a couple weeks ago?” “Yes, mom, but that doesn’t count.” “Hah,” she says.
I promise, it’s not a shopping addiction, only a slight obsession. Now, the shoes… ok that may be an addiction.
And, I’ve made a page where I shall keep any “presents” that I get. Thanks to Irina for my xmas gift. View My Presents.
And, as I sort of predicted on December 8, Comptroller Alan Hevesi is without a job. He has resigned and will “plead guilty to a minor felony for using state employees as drivers and companions for his wife.” Even though he was reelected this past Nov. 7th, he will not take office in January.

4 days ’til Christmas! =)
Good luck for the interview!
I’d cross my fingers for you but you definitely won’t get the job (intern…ship?) there, so …yeah.
Dude, Bush is the best comedian to come from America. I don’t know why people don’t seem to like him; the man’s a comedy genius!
I totally agree with you about Bush. I cannot wait for him to end his term and never be in office again!
Good luck with your interview!
It took you yet another interview to realise that Bush is an idiot? Why, I could have told you that years ago!
Yeah, well, I don’t really have an opinion on any of the bigger issues in the world. I’ve chosen to stay away from those.
Gawsh, I love how your comment form is in this cute little box. Lol. I dunno, I find it cute.
hehe. Thanks.
Just wanted to stop by to wish you a very merry Christmas. I hope you have a great day. Congratulations on the internship
I know what you mean re: Bush… I feel like everything in this presidency is just a repetition of a buncha shit we’ve already seen/heard/done… sigh. Congrats on the internship! I had one with the Dept of Agriculture a couple years ago, and I loved it – great pay, great people… too bad it’s true that nothing gets done quickly!
