Happy Martin Luther Kin Jr. Day! If you don’t know who he is, please get out from under the rock. lol There’s a movie called At the River I Stand, it’s about the labor and civil rights movements at the beginning of of the 1960s in the U.S. It seems as if every professor in every college at Cornell plays it for their classes, so I’ve seen it about 20 times. It plays clips of the last 2 months of his life, including his I Have a Dream speech and actual images/video of his murder. The movie is a must see, and the speech is a must read.

Like I said, I’ve seen the movie many times, and I’ve read the speech many times as well. However, it does not matter how many because I am always affected. The last time I saw it (I saw it 3 times last semester alone) I was almost bawling–although I cried each time. I’m still tear up now.
