Why I’m disappointed

So, my mother bought a new dog. She’s a year old, she’s a poodle, she’s small, she’s adorable, and she makes me feel annoyed.
It’s not that I don’t like her. I do. She’s very playful and cute. But when my mother surprised me yesterday, I was annoyed because the dog I had for years died only a few months ago in May.
What’s the hurry? Why must we have a new one now? Personally, I didn’t want to get a new one ever.
I feel annoyed.
