Britney Spears is a symbol of America
No, I’m not about to expound upon the greatness that is Britney. I’ve never been a fan, nor will I ever be a fan, I believe.
However, contrary to apparent popular belief, I don’t think she’s the evil, despicable, terrible person that the media and all of her new detractors claim her to be.
She’s someone who knew success at an early age, surrounded herself with a lot of unfortunate people, and got lost in the process.
This is not to say that she’s a complete victim of circumstance, and that she’s not to blame for any of the badness that has come her way. That would be completely false. She’s an adult who’s made many bad decisions, and is now seeing her life implode upon her.
However, how are all the Britney = evil statements to help her? I think that people have blown all her mistakes out of control, and are now insulting her to insult her. I don’t think she’s as bad as Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. I think she really loves her kids, and she wants to do right by them, but she’s lived around bad influences who have helped bring her low.
Lindsay Lohan doesn’t really want to change. She’s said it herself, she’s only gone into rehab because she has had to. She’ll be making more crap decisions in no time. Paris Hilton doesn’t even think she needs to change…. No point in elaborating on that.
Britney Spears has 2 important reasons to change, and I think she’s seen the light, we just need to lay off of her and let her find her way.
I don’t think her MTV performance was the travesty that everyone claimed it to be. Sure, she was lip synching, but she’s always done that. She was nervous, and rightly so. Wouldn’t you be scared if you knew the whole world either expected you to kick ass or fall on it?
I’m not going to listen to all the rumors about every minutia issue, all of the temper tantrums or whatever. It’s crap coming from people who either want to be popular or make money off of her. Why bother to listen to people whose motives you question?
Why do I say Britney Spears is a symbol of America? Because we too have been brought low. I doubt people realize just how much our country is disliked elsewhere, but I know it’s certainly an issue.
But, one thing to note is that although we have many enemies, I doubt they would dislike it to be in our place. (Not to say America is the end all and be all of course. But how many defunct dictators, and etc. seek asylum in America after spending a lot of time talking about how awful Americans are? Too many really.)
Britney Spears, although disliked is still in a position that many people would love. She’s still popular, otherwise why would so many people talk about her? She’s still rich, and that will probably always be the case. She’s still got plenty of years to be a success again. And she’s NOT fat (why people call her that, I don’t know).
You don’t have to like her, I don’t. But really, think about things before condemning her to hell.
Who knows, maybe she’ll surprise us all.

I hope she does surprise people; everybody wants her to fail and it gets to a stage where it’s actually annoying. I pity her really… yes, even though she has a lot of money.
I don’t pity her at all. You made your bed - Now you have to lie in it!
Maybe she will surprise everyone and sharpen up a bit and get her life together but I think there is thousands of potential Britney’s standing in line just waiting for a chance to push her out of the spotlight.
The people that idolize her don’t realize that Brittney is a human being first which means that she’s going to make bad decisions like the regular Jane down the street. This goes for all celebrities. The sooner people realize that there’s no reason to treat celebrities like gods the less people become judgmental of celebrities.
I did like Britney, I was quite a big fan too but I happen to think her new song (the one she played at MTV) was poor to say the least as well as her performance.
hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!Britney,i love you much………..
