People annoy me 2

I swore that I would stay away from the web drama, and I have no plans on causing any arguments here.

However, since I check out Rhiannon’s site bi-weekly ((Even if I don’t email her or whatever.)), I saw this morning the new bit of drama that has erupted over the weekend, and pardon my language, but it’s a bunch of bullshit.

It really pisses me off how bitchy some people can be, and by some people I mean the ones that I don’t plan on linking to because I don’t feel like sending others over there to see that crap.

So, here’s my plan, I want everyone to give reasons why searching for other sites just to criticize them and call people names is a bad thing.

Any other reasons–like in defense of the practice–will be deleted “because it’s my site and I can do what I want with it.”

This isn’t about PSGR or any other site, so if you mention a site, I’ll have to edit your comment. No names, just theoretical/hypothetical/etc.

I’ve already said my peace before (and have argued it as well), so I think I’ll defer to someone else to give the first reason (although, I thought of quite a few rational reasons this morning as well).

I think I’ll use them to turn them into something positive in the future.

Because it’s a short-cut to ‘celebrity’ that doesn’t require any actual intelligence, effort, wit or personality.

I personally don’t like web drama, too. It could be funny reading about it sometimes, but, dissing other people just so you can uplift yourself for knowing better, only shows how immature you can be.

Hm, minus any defence (I was thinking about general WPR’s at first, then re-read that you wanted to know why people outed for criticising websites) I’d have to agree with Dee’s comment.

Although, truth be told, any drama that comes out of “unrequested” reviews is usually blown quite out of proportion.

I think the question is, who is blowing it out of proportion.

I’ll tell you this much, it’s not the people who got reviewed.

In the majority of cases I’ve seen, it’s actually — usually — a balance of both parties. Merely fuelled by the spectators.

I could, however, be wrong. :P
