Conquering Fears

I have a thing about fear. If I have a task that I need to complete, then I’ll jump in head first, immediately. I won’t let my nerves get to me simply because I get more nervous the longer I wait.

That’s why I don’t like long deadlines. I don’t like having weeks or months to get things done. I would rather attempt to fix things as soon as possible.

The consequences of procrastination? I end up waiting too long. For example, learning how to drive. My previous attempts have been pathetic. What’s worse is that when I first got my permit, I had no fear at all. I was, however, in a couple car accidents, and I’ve been reluctant to try and drive since (but I was not behind the wheel those times).

Now, though, I am learning, and apparently I’m getting good at it. Although, I still can’t pull out of parking lots, and I hate driving on curvy roads because it’s hard to control the car.

I’m sure you’ll do fine once you get some time behind the wheel. Don’t let other people rush you when you’re driving, as long as you keep to the speed limit they can only frustrate themselves..

Yeah, I know what you mean about being scared to drive. I’ve gotten into a couple of close calls, and some of them made me scared to drive too(I was behind the wheel those times), but then after awhile, I got used to it again. Good luck with learning how to drive! My sister’s about to do the same in 2 weeks or so. As for driving on curvy roads, YES, I hate that too!!
