My First Earthquake – Aahh! Twilight – Ugh!

Tonight I’ve just experienced my first earthquake since moving to Los Angeles, California. (Or at least the first that I’ve noticed.)

I was sitting on the couch when all of a sudden it starts moving. Whoa.

Let’s just say I was pretty scared. lol. I had to call my mom, and of course she’s in NY so I woke her up.

According to the NYTimes,

A moderate earthquake struck a sparsely populated area of California’s Mojave Desert on Friday night. The shaking was felt from Southern California to the fringes of Nevada and Arizona, but there were no immediate reports of damage.

The 5.1-magnitude temblor struck just outside Ludlow on Interstate 40 in San Bernardino County, about 120 miles east of Los Angeles, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The initial reports measured the quake at 5.5-magnitude.

Luckily, it wasn’t a strong earthquake. Things didn’t start falling or anything. The place just shook, but it was still spooky.

I have to admit though, it didn’t scare me as much as the thought of seeing a Twilight sequel.

YES. I actually saw Twilight last weekend.

*sigh* I have no idea why. The people I went with wanted to see it, so I went as well. I should have just gone into the Australia theatre after I got my ticket (which I didn’t pay for). But, I technically don’t want to see Australia either (yes, because of Nicole Kidman).

We went to Universal City (which is part of Universal Studios I guess), and saw it there. I’ve never laughed so hard. At one point, I couldn’t stop laughing, and had to try to stifle myself.

I had no idea Twilight was a comedy.

Man it was awful. Awful writing. Awful acting. Awful special effects. Awful beginning, middle, and end.
But Robert Pattinson is kind of cute.

Anyway, it’s late.

I could never live out there, I’d be hiding under a table for days.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only person who thinks Twilight is overrated.

Hehe, my sister goes to school down in Irvine, and she said she didn’t feel anything. LOL.

LOL about Twilight!!! You’re the first person I know that didn’t like it! I didn’t watch it, nor do I intend to. LOL.

Earthquakes are scary, I only experienced a small one, years back, but it’s a very scary feeling when everything around you is moving while it’s not supposed to…

I want to see Twilight but I’m not sure whether to wait for it to be out in the video store or go to the cinema to see it.

^Lol, I’m not sure you should torture yourself. You should only go see Twilight if you want to laugh really hard. Don’t go if you want to see something of great dramatic value.
