The Federal Minimum Wage raises today.

And all I have to say is it’s about damn time.

After 10 years, the federal minimum wage finally increases from $5.15 an hour to $5.85 an hour, and over the next 2 years, it will increase $7.25.

Although I am disappointed that it took as long as it did, I can see the bright side and acknowledge that at least some people in our government are not complete and utter morons, well at least some of the time.

It’s about time that we start treating our low-wage workers with respect. Paris Hilton, get your ass back here!

Says the judge handling Paris’s case, today. And, the update is, she’s been sent back, kicking and screaming, to prison to serve out the rest of her 45 day prison sentence.

Good riddance.

I wish I was Paris Hilton

Yup, you read that right. I wish I was Paris Hilton. Why? So that I can manipulate the law have have multiple people subvert the legal system for me.

If you didn’t know, Paris Hilton was released from prison after spending… what barely 3 DAYS in the slammer. Although, it wasn’t even a “real” prison, it’s where you put the rich people who are too skittish to deal with the “criminal” people.

Apparently she was too emotionally unstable, so she gets to go home and serve out her sentence with an ankle bracelet. And, the courts must be kidding me. HOW can this female get so much special treatment?
