Bush Pressures Scientists to Lie About Global Warming

As if I didn’t need another reason to dislike my dear dear president, I hear yet another thing that makes me sick. I’m not surprised by it because he has shown that he has no concern for the important things in this world, but I’m disgusted none the less.

Yesterday, a news article came out discussing the “political interference in federal climate science.”

Out of 1600 climate scientists (who research different things regarding the weather/sustainability/or whatever), there have been over 430 “occurrences of political interference” in the last 5 years. Asia typhoon

There was a typhoon in the Philippines and they fear that the death toll may hit over 1000. This is terrible, and I just hope that everyone is ok. I’ve read quite a few Philippino blogs, so I’m nervous about them as well (is that dumb?). There is an article at MSN.com about it if you don’t know.

Democratic Troupes: Dancing for a Decision

If you didn’t get it, the title is a play on the word troop, because the War in Iraq may be the defining factor for the Democrats in 2006.

I just read a the Democrats Push for Cuts Within Months article at NYTimes.com. The basics say that the Democrats, as I have predicted, are planning to decrease the number of troops in Iraq over the next 4 to 6 months. Why? You say. Especially considering the current civil war situation that has erupted into a full mess in the country? Well, as many have said, the Democrats believe that it sends a message to the Iraqi people. That message being: “We want to help, but we’re not God. We don’t plan on babysitting you for the rest of your duration while you have petty, disgusting, disturbing arguments over things that should not matter.”
