Comment Policy

The Rules to Follow

I have created a simple listing of the guidelines you should follow when commenting on this site. If you want your comments to not be removed, I recommend that you read these carefully. If you comment is only going to be off topic, then contact me.

• I have spam protections in this site (Akismet and Bad Behavior), so your comments should appear in real time. However, I do review every comment, so if your emails look suspect, or are obviously fake, I may choose to remove your comment.
  • Therefore, you must provide a valid email address.
  • Your emails are not shown, so you do not have to worry about being spammed after commenting.

• I am very open to feedback and open discussions, but a discussion does not equal an argument or an attack on others. If you cannot respect me, or your fellow visitors, your comments will be removed.
• Unless I state it in my posts, I am not looking to have my site critiqued in a foul manner. I don’t like unsolicited reviews, especially if all you have to write is “y0uR site sux.” I can do without that.
  • Feel free to leave your opinions, but use common sense.
    • For example:
    • I don’t like this because…. I disagree because….
• Please keep profanity to a minimum. You may notice that I have only used words of this nature at most 10 times throughout my entire site. There are plenty of ways to say things, without going to the extreme and vulgar.
• I reserve the right to add more to this list as situations arise and warrant my doing so.
• I’m open to comments on my layout, but the comment must have something relevant to the topic as well.
  • “Your layout sux!” Is not an appropriate comment if the topic is about my day at school.
  • “I think [whatever happened] is great. Congratulations. By the way, I love (or hate) your layout.” Is fine.
• Finally, please for the love of “You know Who”, no chat speak
